Marvel at the traditional jaguars and colourful hens made from mud and ancestral techniques.

Amatenango is a Tzeltal community famous for its unique clay art renowned for its method of baking in which the source of heat is built around the pieces instead of putting these inside a fixed oven. Some pieces can take from 15 days to six months in their elaboration, like the jaguars that recreate the Mayan cosmogony or the vessels that decorate with different tonalities.
