Since 1939 this National park has preserved 458 hectares, 89 species of plants and a huge variety of fauna. The name Cupatitzio comes from a Purepechan word that means “to dive into the water”, however, due to its beautiful sound it is known as “the river that sings”. You will be able to have a relaxing hike through this impressive park, eat traditional food from the region, visit a trout farm and you will learn more about this habitat.
